OWI Science for Fuels took part in the 32nd Deutscher Flammentag, held from 15–17 September 2025 at the University of Paderborn. Organised on behalf of the German Association for Combustion Research and the German Section of the Combustion Institute, the event focused on sustainable combustion and the role of innovative fuels in the energy transition.
With around 200–300 participants from academia, industry, and public authorities, the Deutscher Flammentag serves as an important exchange platform between fundamental research and industrial application.
At the conference, Frans Kremer from OWI presented a poster highlighting analysis results on surrogate e-fuels, contributing to discussions on how sustainable fuels can support future energy systems.
