E-TANDEM Techno-Economic Analysis Presented at MeCCE 2026

On 4 June 2026, Jord Haven from CSIC presented the latest Techno-Economic Analysis (TEA) results of the E-TANDEM project at the 16th Mediterranean Congress of Chemical Engineering (MeCCE), held in Barcelona, Spain.

Taking place from 2–5 June 2026 as part of EXPOQUIMIA, the International Chemistry Event and Process Industries, MeCCE 2026 brought together researchers, engineers, industry leaders, and policymakers under the theme “Transforming the Industry, Shaping the Future.” The congress focused on the role of chemical engineering in addressing global challenges and advancing the implementation of the 2030 Agenda through innovation, technology transfer, and industrial collaboration.

During the conference, Jord Haven shared key findings from the E-TANDEM project’s Techno-Economic Analysis, highlighting the economic viability and industrial potential of the project’s innovative technologies. The presentation contributed to discussions on sustainable industrial processes and the transition towards more efficient and environmentally responsible chemical production pathways.

MeCCE is recognised for its unique ability to bridge the gap between science, engineering, and industry. Through its close integration with EXPOQUIMIA, the congress provides a platform for meaningful exchanges between the academic community and industrial stakeholders, fostering collaboration and accelerating the adoption of innovative solutions.

Participation in MeCCE 2026 offered an excellent opportunity to showcase E-TANDEM’s progress to an international audience and to engage with experts working at the forefront of chemical engineering and process industries. The event also facilitated valuable networking opportunities and discussions on the future of sustainable industrial technologies.
