Organisation Introduction

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture has more than century-old tradition – it is the successor to the Royal Technical College founded in 1919. Since then it has been one of the Croatian leading institutions in education, science and expertise in the fields of mechanical engineering and naval architecture, and for the last two decades in the field of aeronautical engineering too.

The teaching, research and professional activities include our recent achievements in the well-established fields (engineering design, naval architecture, aeronautical engineering, energy engineering, thermal and process engineering, IC engines and motor vehicles, manufacturing technologies, industrial engineering, materials engineering), and in the new and emerging fields of science and technology (computer engineering and simulations, mechatronics and robotics, medical engineering, nanotechnologies, military engineering, metrology, quality assurance and management).

Why E-TANDEM?

E-TANDEM involved top researchers from the leading institutions in their fields which is in line with the strategy of the involved team members, to work on emerging topics and collaborate with excellent professionals.

Involvement in E-TANDEM

Developed mathematical models for life-cycle assessments of different fuels adaptable for different profiles of marine operations, shipping areas and future emission pricing scenarios will be further improved and tested for newly developed fuel, offering new insights into sustainability of marine business.
