The International Workshop on Sustainable Chemistry, was held in the Polytechnical University of Cartagena-UPCT (Murcia), as an interdisciplinary platform that offers to academic and industrial researchers a privileged environment to exchange on the latest scientific advances in the field of sustainable, green and circular chemistry, to share on tomorrow’s scientific and technological hurdles, and to facilitate public-private and private-private partnerships.
Representatives from the Spanish Research Council (CSIC), research partner and coordinator of E-TANDEM, had the chance to attend the International Workshop on Sustainable Chemistry held on May 8-11, 2023, at the Polytechnical University of Cartagena-UPCT (Murcia, Spain). The meeting hosted a large list of worldwide leading experts in green chemistry and energy transition, including former Science Advisor to the US Environmental Protection Agency and Yale University Professor Paul T. Anastas, and the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion director and E-TANDEM partner Prof. Walter Leitner, among other. Laura Latorre-Valverde (CSIC) delivered an oral presentation which discussed the latest results on E-TANDEM’s lab-scale R&D activities towards the development of a highly selective conversion process for the production of synthetic higher ethers.
